Sleepy Swan is a monthly stationery mail club designed and illustrated by Audrey Cayenne.

For a long time these drawings only existed on my iPad.

Drawing became something I did whenever I wanted to clear my mind or slow down. It wasn't something I really talked about and most of my family and close friends didn't even know I could draw.

One day I realised these drawings deserved more than just sitting in a folder on my iPad. I wanted to turn them into something people could actually hold onto. That's how Sleepy Swan began.

People sometimes ask why I chose a swan.

I spend a lot of my free time playing golf and one of the courses I play has swans wandering around the lakes. I've always loved watching them. There's something calm about them and I especially love how two swans naturally form a heart when they face each other.

To me that heart represents the connection between the person creating the artwork and the person receiving it. Every envelope is a small way of sharing something I've created with someone else.

Every month I create a brand new collection from scratch. I don't usually begin with a fixed theme. Most collections start with random sketches, a song I've been listening to, a film I've watched or simply an idea that catches my attention. Eventually everything comes together into that month's edition.

Every piece inside the envelope is designed and illustrated by me. Once the month ends, that edition becomes part of the Sleepy Swan archive and won't be reprinted.
